Susan Pacey MA
I am a sexual and relationship psychotherapist, with a private practice in Marylebone, London W1, for the last twenty-three years, and have many years’ experience in the NHS.
I am a Registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and an Accredited Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists. I am a fifth-year doctoral candidate on the Doctor of Couple Psychotherapy Programme at Tavistock Relationships, where I gained an MA in Psychoanalysis, Attachment and the Couple Relationship in 2010. I trained and qualified in psychosexual therapy in the early 1990s at the Whittington Hospital, London.
On the editorial board of the academic journal, Sexual and Relationship Therapy, for several years, I have written papers on the medicalisation of sex; the impact of pregnancy and childbirth on sexual relationships; circumcision, female genital mutilation, gender reassignment and ethics; and step-parenting and sexuality.
A former Trustee of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and former Secretary of the British Society for Sexual Medicine (BSSM), I am a teacher, speaker, and chair at national and international professional conferences on many aspects of psychosexual therapy, sexuality, and sexual health.
